Baby grows and rompers are the easiest and most versatile item for your baby girl to wear. You’ll always have stock of a few different styles for the first 24 months of her life as they’re ideal for layering. As a newborn, she’ll live in baby grows and you’ll probably go through a few per day when you have those leaky nappy incidents or spit up post feed. It’s easy to have a few different styles in your baby bag so that you’re always prepared. As she grows older, you’ll start experimenting with cute separates, but you’ll always need a bodysuit for layering under her clothes for extra warmth. She’ll probably sleep in baby grow for the first two years as they’re snug, comfortable and, if you get the styles with feet, will keep her warm even when she kicks off the blankets.
Always buy a size up so that she can wear it for a few months. The styles without feet tend to last longer as they’ll still fit your baby girl perfectly, but may be a bit cropped. Consider buying the styles without feet when she starts walking as she’ll want to walk every morning when she wakes up and it can be slippery for her - rather put socks on at bed time. Also look out for styles with a double zip or press stud crotch as these are easier for quick nappy changes. These usually don’t go over their heads, which is also ideal because babies don’t like styles that pull over their little heads. Choose from a selection of pastel and bright shades and fun all-over prints. If you’re struggling to choose, get them in staggered sizes so she’ll be stocked up with a few styles for when she gets older.
